About Lainie Thompson Lofts North Side RA

Well my name is Lainie Thompson, I'm a Junior, I play softball here at SVU, and I'm a Mormon. Hahaha Alright for reals now, I love to have fun and be silly.  This is my second year as a Resident Adviser and my 3rd and a half year at SVU.  I served in both the New Hampshire Manchester Mission and the Utah Provo Mission.  I loved my time in both missions and I very much believe my heart is still in Maine (part of the New Hampshire Mission).  I've learned a lot and have grown a lot from my experiences.  I LOVE the gospel truly I do.

I have a candy drawer in my room for those stressful, I-just-need-chocolate, sweet tooth, rough, victory, milestone, jus cuz, etc. days. I try to keep it stocked so it will be available but sometimes things get crazy and it's not so bear with me.

Let's see...I'm the oldest, I have a brother serving a mission in Mexico, I have a 16 year old brother and a sister who is married and gonna have a baby! (Imma be an aunty!!) I have a puppy named Pippin and the coolest parents ever. Yep, tis true. I'll be 24 in July and I'm excited for the adventure of this year.  

My favorite quote is from Disney's Princess Diaries, "Courage isn't the absence of fear but rather the judgement that there is something else more important than fear.  The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all.  From now on, you are the the path of who you are and who you can become. It's up to you to make the journey."

You'll make your greatest friends while at school, be kind, remember who you are, and let people in.  My best friend Stephanie Stroud I met here at school and Laura Tome (pictured with me) was my best roommate and teammate, and a great friend now.
